ERF Branches to Remain Open During Second Lockdown

For all ERF customers,

On behalf of the ERF family, we want to let you know that all our branches (excluding Birmingham) are to remain open, as we enter the next period of lockdown.

The team is here for you and our focus remains on great customer service alongside stringent COVID-19 safe working practices.

The safety and wellbeing of our staff, customers and suppliers is our top priority and we are proud that we can continue to serve you in a COVID secure manner.

Electrical Meter Calibration dates for 2020

Electrical Meter Calibration events

ERF offer an expert repair and calibration service for all brands of electrical test equipment.
Our partnership engineers understand and appreciate the technology and provide both repair and calibration services.

Extended Opening Hours for all ERF Branches

From 1st September 2020, all ERF branches will have extended opening hours.

The new opening hours are:

Monday to Thursday: 7.30am – 5.30pm

Friday: 7.30am – 5pm

This decision was made so that we can better look after our customers, from the branches and ERF Support Centre.

All 12 ERF branches will have the same opening hours.

As per the Governments announcement, the temporary VAT zero rate ended on 31.10.20 and therefore the VAT on PPE has now returned to 20%.

Safe Working Practices

We all want to get back to work and ensure that we are able to do so safely. Therefore we have been working hard to make our branches safe, in line with the COVID-19 guidelines. There are limits on the number of people allowed in the branch and our team will be wearing the necessary PPE equipment so that you feel safe to come to the branches and collect your goods. ERF COVID-19 Safe Working Practices

We are open and more information on which businesses are open for collections, can be found here. 

The safety of our customers and our colleagues is our number one priority. We are therefore working hard to ensure that all the necessary safety measures are in place to that we can get back to working together and getting the economy moving again.

Your concern is our concern, so we have implemented the below safe working practices into the ERF business to protect us all:

Deliveries from us:

  • All delivery drivers have personal protective equipment (PPE), including disposable gloves worn for all delivers, face masks and eye wear when the site requires.
  • We shall advise you of our arrival on site via phone.
  • We will then unload our own vehicle, placing the goods where advised.
  • No signature will be required, your name will be taken and placed on the delivery sheet.
  • We will then return to our vehicle ensuring that you attend to your goods.
  • Then we will leave your site.

Deliveries to us:

  • Drivers and suppliers to communicate delivery date and details prior to delivery.
  • We will watch the delivery being unloaded.
  • We shall then visually check the goods.
  • The ERF colleagues name can be used to ‘sign’ for the delivery, as no signature shall be given.

ERF Delivery Drivers:

  • All our vehicles and drivers have a COVID-19 safety pack on board.
  • Our drivers are trained in delivering to open and enclosed sites.
  • Disposable gloves are worn for all deliveries. Where sites are enclosed or internal to buildings, our drivers will wear safety glasses and masks for your delivery.
  • We will not ask for a signature but will take a name and a photograph of the delivered goods.
  • We will monitor all changes in the government guidance and apply these rules to our deliveries.

Sales Counters:

  • FREE masks for customers to wear while in the branch.
  • All counters have instructions clearly marked on the door before entry.
  • Social distancing is clearly marked on the floor.
  • Staff wearing all necessary PPE minimum gloves, (eyewear and masks where appropriate).
  • Goods placed on counter. We will step back to keep distance.
  • Customers steps forward and takes their goods.
  • Customer leaves giving name for COVID-19 as signature.
  • Please observe the maximum numbers allowed in each branch at any one time.

ERF Stores:

  • Safe working practices.
  • Social distancing.
  • PPE worn.
  • Clear marking.
  • No external visitors.
  • Site cleaned at regular intervals.

Visitors:

  • All visitor meetings are to take place over virtual conferencing when possible.
  • If face to face meetings are unavoidable, then social distancing must be observed.
  • Adhere to all government guidance.

May Bank Holiday – Customer Update

ERF will be closed for the bank holiday from Friday 8th May to Sunday 10th May.

Our branches at Nottingham, Andover, Cannock and Leicester will be open again on Monday 11th May and we will continue following the government guidance on social distancing.

Moving forwards we will be monitoring the demands of our customers each day and will keep you updated.

Customer update – Leicester now open

Here is the latest update from the ERF team for you.

Leicester now open

  • We are pleased to announce that Leicester is now also open for collections and to support our customers with deliveries across the midlands. The branches open for collections are Andover, Cannock, Nottingham and now Leicester too.

Call your local branch to arrange a collection or delivery.

 

New beginnings

  • We are looking ahead to the new way of working together in the future. This may mean more video call meetings, extra safety measures in place in the branches and to continue working with you on how we can best serve your needs.

 

Growth week on week

  • During the weeks of lockdown, we have continued to review our business and the demand from our customers. As we enter May, all the signs are positive that more and more people are returning to work and this is a good sign for us all. We have seen growth week on week, of demand for our products and services and we are proud to be here to help.

 

Increases in customer demands

  • Our customers are our number one priority and we are seeing an increase in demand for collections and delivery. We will continue to review how we can better provide these services and always welcome any feedback you may have.

ERF Open for our Customers from 3 key Branches

We are open to support our customers from 3 key branches

We are pleased to let you know that ERF will continue to be open for our customers, operating from three key branches: Andover, Cannock and Nottingham.

Collections will also be available from these three locations from our £3.2m stock holding.

These businesses will stay open due to the ties with the NHS and Ministry of Defence (MOD) and we will be able to meet all our customer’s needs from these branches.

Due to significant investment in our IT infrastructure, we are fortunate that all our systems are cloud based and therefore we are able to continue to work remotely.

If you wish to place an order, please ring your normal ERF branch number and a member of the team will be on hand to help you.
